Background:
This is the first song Dr Dre ever produced/remixed outside of gangster rappers N.W.A. when he was still in the band circa 1987-88. This song appeared before Dre had created a name for himself as super producer of the 90s until today.
Versions of the song originally released on an Island Records 1987 compilation of Dallas bands -The Sounds of Deep Ellum (1987). Decadent Dub Team then paid the 22 year old Dr.Dre to do some remixes of the track. The Dr. Dre mix version appeared on the Warner Bros. 1988 soundtrack and in the film Colors (directed by legendary Dennis Hopper), but has never been re-issued until now.
